V Sabatier knives can be traced back to the widow of one of the founders of the Sabatier knife manufacturing industry in France, in the early 1800’s. As connoisseurs will stress, only those kitchen knives produced in the Thiers region of France should carry the Sabatier name. (Much like Champagne only comes from Champagne, France).

V Sabatier kitchen knives are still manufactured in Thiers using the region’s top quality carbon steel and traditional forging techniques.

V Sabatier kitchen knives are forged using the traditional aluminium bolster and a full tang, 3 rivet construction. The precision edge ground blades are produced from high quality tapered stainless steel, creating a blade that is hard to blunt, but easy to sharpen.
